I brought to your attention on this last Friday, and somehow the issue still seems to be here. On Friday you told us that other clients of Sun Hosting had also called to complain that their .ca websites and emails were down.

Well we are continuing to have the same complaints from some other .ca site owners as well.

Did you hear back in any way from CIRA or are they even aware of these issues themselves?

This is a very weird and hard to understand issue as it only seems to affect mostly .ca's and a few .org's of about only about 10% of our clients. All the others are ok.

Please let me know if you are aware of anything that could be directly or indirectly related to these DNS issues.

The issue should have been resolved by now, we have heard of no other reports of problems.

Can you let us know what the domain names are, and which ISP the customers are using?

It seems to be limited to Bell mostly, and maybe some sectors of Videotron.

I know, and I agree but we are still getting some reports of the same malfunctions. You are right; it seems to come mostly from Bell but we are now also getting reports that some Videotron users can't access those sites either.

Have you spoke to others on your team about that?

We even had a client with a .org that was down yesterday as well, although that site appears to be up for now.... At first glance, it only seems to affect domains that have been registered in the last 18 months or less. Older .ca domains of 2 years or more don't seem affected at all!

This is really unusual. Can you pass this ticket around to the rest of your team in case they may have heard or seen something awry with CIRA?

In the mean time, I'm continuing to scratch my head on that one...
